SSWG operates two businesses within the water infrastructure space. Seven Seas Water which provides water treatment and desalination for governmental hospitality and industrial customers in United States Latin America and the Caribbean and the AUC Group () which provides decentralized water and wastewater treatment plants for industrial and municipal customers in the United States.

Job Summary:
AUC Group is seeking an experienced Piping & Mechanical CAD Designer to support the design and detailing of wastewater treatment systems. This role involves translating engineering concepts P&IDs sketches and field measurements into complete and accurate design packages. Responsibilities include equipment and piping layouts piping supports structural components tanks walkways access platforms and other fabricated assemblies. The ideal candidate is proficient with parametric modeling tools (Inventor SolidWorks Creo etc.) and can coordinate with engineers field crews and design staff to develop buildable layouts that eliminate installation conflicts.
This position is well-suited for individuals who can visualize complex systems understand industrial piping and structural relationships and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced project environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop accurate design packagesincluding equipment layouts piping supports structural components tanks and fabricated assembliesbased on engineering inputs and field data.
Collaborate with Design and Project Engineers to refine design intent and incorporate required changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Integrate vendor drawings technical specifications and 3D models into project designs.
Participate in site visits to collect measurements verify installation conditions and document findings.
Support field teams by resolving design issues and providing quick-turn solutions when unexpected conditions arise.
Maintain adherence to departmental standards drawing conventions and CAD best practices.
Modify and manage project parameters within modeling software to maintain consistency and support design automation.
Coordinate with team members to support project deadlines and ensure cohesive design execution.
Qualification/Requirements:
Strong proficiency with parametric 3D CAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor SolidWorks PTC Creo or similar).
Inventor experience is a plus but not required.
Proficient in 2D CAD workflows (AutoCAD or similar) and comfortable working within established drafting and modeling standards.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs engineering sketches and mechanical system layouts.
Experience with industrial or process piping design ideally in water/wastewater applications.
Strong spatial visualization skills with the ability to identify potential construction or interference issues early in the design process.
Capable of performing field measurements and working safely around operational equipment.
Experience with Autodesk Vault or other CAD data/document management systems is a plus.
Proficiency with basic office software including Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and Bluebeam Revu.
Education/Experience:
College degree or an equivalent combination of technical school training and relevant work experience.
