Job Summary

Construction Project Manager (Commercial Construction & Site Operations)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Project Manager to lead and deliver commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time within budget and according to specifications while maintaining strict adherence to safety quality and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will coordinate clients design teams subcontractors and on-site operations to ensure smooth project execution and successful project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan schedule and manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and manage project budgets schedules risk logs and procurement plans
  • Track project progress and provide regular reporting to stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage subcontractors contracts change orders and material/equipment procurement
  • Ensure compliance with construction documents building codes permits and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and resolve design and construction issues with architects engineers and clients
  • Conduct regular site visits inspections and quality assurance checks
  • Lead and enforce job site safety programs and OSHA compliance standards
  • Oversee project closeout documentation including warranties O&M manuals and client handover
  • Mentor junior staff and support continuous process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Architecture or related field
  • 510 years of experience in construction project management (required)
  • PMP CCM or related certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore Microsoft Project or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints construction drawings and BIM models (basic understanding required)
  • Strong background in budgeting scheduling cost control and reporting
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA and construction safety standards and regulations
