Your experience matters:

Frye Regional Medical Center located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

How youll contribute:

The Supply Chain Coordinator assists the Director of Materials Management in operating the Materials Management Department in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes and maintains contacts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Achieves use of MMIS to track supply usage streamline procurement and service departments.
  • Analyzes market conditions and statistical data interviews vendors and reviews catalogs and other source material to obtain information on items for purchase.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations in reference to all new supplies and equipment.
  • Directs the taking of cyclical and year end inventories.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements and Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintains EOC standards by knowing and following procedures in emergency management hazardous material management life safety fire safety infection control and security.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required associates degree preferred.
  • Two years experience in materials handling or purchasing; Knowledge of operating a personal computer and related software required.
