Job Summary
Job Title: Special Education Teacher Middle School
Location: Plainfield NJ
Schedule: Full-Time (7:10 AM 3:30 PM)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an inclusive learning environment. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction through both push-in and pull-out services helping students achieve academic success and meet their individualized education goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with disabilities
- Deliver push-in and pull-out services based on student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learners
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers staff and families
- Support students in achieving academic and behavioral goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team discussions
Caseload
- Approximately 13 students
Requirements
- Active New Jersey Department of Education (NJ DOE) Instructional License (required)
- Middle School Special Education certification (required)
- Must be Highly Qualified in ELA and/or Math
