Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Laboratory Technician you will work under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic testing that supports critical clinical decision-making.
Perform laboratory testing across chemistry hematology urinalysis and immunology
Analyze validate and report test results in accordance with established protocols
Immediately communicate critical or abnormal results to clinical staff
Maintain strict quality control standards for specimen handling and processing
Set up calibrate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
Ensure compliance with safety regulatory and accreditation standards
Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and documentation
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or higher preferred
Active State of Florida Medical Laboratory Technician (Generalist) license required
Candidates nearing licensure or already in the application process may be considered
MLT (ASCP) AMT or equivalent certification required
Prior laboratory experience preferred; recent graduates with clinical rotations or lab assistant experience are encouraged to apply
Strong attention to detail accuracy and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
