Location: Panama City FL

Salary Range: $22.66/hr (Entry Level) $30.54/hr (10 years experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15000
Shift Differentials: $2.50/hr (Nights) $1.45/hr (Evenings)
Schedule: Full-time Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Rotation: Rotating Weekends

Join a leading 238-bed acute care hospital serving the Bay County region for over 40 years. Our facility is a comprehensive healthcare provider featuring advanced critical care services including neonatal intensive care pediatric intensive care and an accredited chest pain center with primary PCI capabilities. We support high-acuity specialties such as cardiac care robotic surgery and emergency medicine.

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Laboratory Technician you will work under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic testing that supports critical clinical decision-making.

• Perform laboratory testing across chemistry hematology urinalysis and immunology
• Analyze validate and report test results in accordance with established protocols
• Immediately communicate critical or abnormal results to clinical staff
• Maintain strict quality control standards for specimen handling and processing
• Set up calibrate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulatory and accreditation standards
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and documentation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or higher preferred
• Active State of Florida Medical Laboratory Technician (Generalist) license required
  • Candidates nearing licensure or already in the application process may be considered
• MLT (ASCP) AMT or equivalent certification required
• Prior laboratory experience preferred; recent graduates with clinical rotations or lab assistant experience are encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail accuracy and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
