Description:
Perform system administration functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stand up configure and maintain Linux servers.
- Monitoring and patching/upgrades to standard networking resources (routers switches firewalls).
- Monitoring and patching/upgrades to servers and VM hardware.
- Assist and incorporate security compliance controls as applicable.
- Support documentation of non-applicable controls.
- Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software.
- Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure.
- Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete excess or replaced hardware.
- Document inventory changes.
- Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
- Proficient with Linux. Minimum of 3 years Linux system administration experience (within the last 3 years).
- Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.
- VM experience
- Security cert
Should have working knowledge able to use and or support with some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools:
- Dell and HPE Linux servers
- Juniper and Cisco routers switches and firewalls
- Palo Alto firewalls
- Ansible
- Nutanix VM management
- Rubrik data storage
- Nomad containers
- SALT scripts
