Accountant Facility I

POSITION SUMMARYThe Accountant Facility I is responsible for numerous areas of accounting and reporting for multiple surgery center facilities including month close financial analysis and ad hoc projects. This role reports to the Senior Accountant as part of the companys accounting FUNCTIONSMonth close cyclejournal entry review and accounting and bank asset and CIP asset participate in monthly operating review calls with facility. leaders and operations high-quality customer service to facility leaders regarding accounting analysisprepare financial reporting statement flux/variance hoc/impromptu projectsTrain new staff and/or new facility management team members on finance/accounting departments outside of accounting with various projects and accounting guidance and make of policies and work in implementing/improving accounting all functions according to established policies procedures regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as applicable professional standards. Specific tasks or responsibilities will be documented as outlined by the incumbents immediate QUALIFICATIONSBS in Accounting/Finance1 - 3 years experience in Accounting (general ledger accounting preferred).Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from to operate both independently and as part of a larger functional capacity to manage deadlines and conflicting priorities in a dynamic work QUALIFICATIONSAdditional education and experience preferred. CPA DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS OE - Typical Office Environment: (Accountant Administrative Assistant Consultant Program Manager) Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires significant use of personal computer phone and general office equipment. Needs adequate visual acuity ability to grasp and handle objects. Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading writing and speaking in person or on telephone. May require off-site travel. Internal customers include facility medical records and patient financial services staff attorneys and central services staff members.
