Job Summary
ACSWs AMFTs and APCCs are encouraged to consider an available full-time Mental Health Clinician position with Liberty Healthcare.
Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized forensic mental health program within the West Valley Detention Center a county jail operated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff.
This program provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adults who are justice involved experiencing mental illness and deemed incompetent to stand trial.
As a Mental Health Clinician with Liberty Healthcares program your responsibilities will include:
- Performing psychosocial evaluations on newly admitted patients
- Providing cognitive-behavioral treatment and psychoeducation to individuals and groups
- Serving as a case lead to assigned patients
- Contributing to individualized treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team
- Proactively contacting family and collateral contacts when appropriate for the purposes of evaluation and treatment
This position requires you to work in-person and onsite at the West Valley Detention Facility. You have the option to work a traditional workweek with five 8-hour days or compressed workweek with four 10-hour days.
As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role you can expect:
- Starting pay between $70000 and $78000 (depending on experience)

You must become fully licensed as a LCSW LMFT or LPCC within 12 months
Experience serving people who are justice-involved is helpful but not required.
