Job Overview

The Production Supervisor provides full oversight and leadership for one of four rotating 12hour shifts (7am7pm / 7pm7am) in a 24/7 fiber optic cable manufacturing facility. This role is accountable for the performance safety quality staffing and execution of all production activities across the entire shift. The Supervisor leads and develops Team Leaders in their respective areas ensuring alignment consistency and strong operational discipline throughout the shift.

The Supervisor ensures production goals are met safely efficiently and in compliance with company policies standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Execution

  • Own full operational performance for the entire shift including safety quality production and people leadership.

  • Lead and coach Team Leaders ensuring they execute plans effectively and maintain high standards in their areas.

  • Deliver shiftlevel production objectives and make quality decisions to support customer and business needs.

  • Execute the shift operations plan across all process areas ensuring proper workflow material movement and production sequencing.

  • Reassign staffing resources based on changing priorities production demands or unexpected events.

  • Ensure all product meets standards defined by the Plants Quality Management System.

People Leadership

  • Develop mentor and evaluate Team Leaders ensuring effective leadership throughout all production areas.

  • Support Team Leaders in managing operator performance training and accountability.

  • Foster a positive collaborative and highperformance team culture.

  • Address performance gaps and support employee development initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all plant safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.

  • Serve as a first responder and evacuation team leader during emergencies.

  • Lead or participate in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Ensure proper execution of monthly inventory counts and other compliance activities as required.

Shift Communication & Alignment

  • Prepare and deliver thorough endofshift turnover reports ensuring seamless communication between shifts.

  • Communicate priorities clearly to Team Leaders and ensure alignment across all departments.

  • Manage the MRR queue and ensure issues are addressed promptly.

Who Were Looking For

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelors Degree preferred.

  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership or management experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Background in the optical fiber cabling industry is a plus.

  • Strong focus on safety quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Effective leader who enjoys developing others and building strong teams.

  • Excellent communication skillsboth verbal and written.

  • Strong organizational timemanagement and multitasking abilities.

  • Able to remain calm professional and effective in fastpaced or highpressure situations.
