Senior General Ledger Accountant

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare and post complex journal entries with appropriate support.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and promptly resolve variances.
• Support monthâend and yearâend close ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze general ledger activity including balance sheet and P&L trends and variances.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP company policies and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Drive process improvements and standardized accounting procedures.
• Partner crossâfunctionally with AP AR Payroll and Finance teams.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 5 years of accounting experience; corporate accounting preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage SAP Oracle NetSuite)
• Experience with consolidation and reporting systems such as Onestream
• Advanced proficiency in Excel including pivot tales vlookups etc.
• Strong analytical problemâsolving and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
