The Foreman is responsible for field leadership and delivery of projects specific to their scope / expertise and must provide direction to field personnel to meet (an hopefully exceed) targets and expectations related to production schedule safety and quality management.

Responsibilities:

• Quality management working with project management and survey / consultant teams to ensure that workmanship meets / exceeds specifications
• Health and safety management including hazard identification and analysis worker competencies and HSE reporting
• Schedule management ensure project timelines are maintained
• Provide supervision on site and daily direction to crew
• Delegation of tasks for all crew members
• Site maintenance management of site housekeeping in accordance with client and company guidelines
• Lead inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity

Required Skills:

• 3 years of experience as a civil supervisor
• Additional years of civil experience is required (non-supervisory)
• Strong time management skills able to keep crews to task and maintain an established work schedule to complete the projects in a timely fashion
• Organized and able to complete regular project documentation
• Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent
• Able to support other positions as needed
• Strong communication skills able to delegate and provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail
• Proven leadership capabilities and able to mentor workers for advancement
• First Aid and other certifications are considered assets
• Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
