Job Summary

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience
  • Technical diploma or trade certificate (mechanical instrumentation or a related field) is an asset
  • Technical Safety BC certifications related to pressure equipment or gas systems (gas fitters refrigeration or welder)
  • Familiarity with applicable safety codes like CSA B51

Skills and Experience:

  • Class 5 drivers license required with a minimum of 2 years of Class 5 driving experience
  • Experience with cryogenic systems compressed gases or industrial equipment is a strong asset
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Team player who has a strong focus on customer & safety and works well contractors
  • A very strong working knowledge of computers tablets and smart phones running Windows and Android
  • Well organized with great attention to detail
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working with minimum supervision
  • Available to work overtime and stay out of town in hotels when required
  • Required annual Drug & Alcohol tests for customer access requirements
  • Clean driver abstract
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policy and procedures

Field Service Technician (Full Time) - Vancouver BC (Starting wage: $36.86 an hour)

Seeking a hands-on motivated Service Technician to support installation maintenance removal and service of microbulk systems across assigned region.
Regular timings are Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of Microbulk tanks gas mixers and nitrogen generators
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and pressure tests on equipment
  • Maintenance and service of rental equipment and inventory of parts
  • Perform equipment calibrations and complete permitting reports
  • Troubleshooting minor repair and maintenance of Microbulk equipment
  • Handle or assist with troubleshooting of equipment problems
  • Future participation in paid On-call rotation on evenings and weekends
  • Purchase of non-standard or immediate requirement parts
  • Travel to customer sites across the region including occasional overnight stays
