Graham is actively recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant supporting the Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Director FP&A the Senior Financial Accountant lead daytoday responsibility for core Central Operations Accounting activities.

This is a permanent fulltime role with minimum 2-Days in our Corporate Office in Calgary.

Your Role in Building What Matters From Office to Site

  • Lead operational accounting close activities (month end quarter end year end) including balance sheet reconciliations journal entry review estimates and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Provide technical accounting expertise particularly on revenue recognition audit support internal allocations labour burden rates and preparation of accounting memos and executive ready materials
  • Own day to day Central Operations Accounting responsibilities assuming full accountability during the maternity leave period and ensuring continuity post transition
  • Drive process improvement and systems optimization including adherence to documented processes support of ERP enhancements (SAP preferred) and promotion of standardization and automation
  • Act as a senior business partner and leader collaborating closely with Operations Finance FP&A and Corporate Finance while providing guidance and oversight to accounting staff as needed

The Right Tools for the Job

  • Education: Degree in Business Information Technology or related field
  • Experience: 5 years of progressive accounting experience; construction engineering or projectbased environments strongly preferred
  • Software: Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred with advanced excel. Working knowledge of Power BI and Power Querry is an asset
  • Certifications: CPA Designation is required Strong knowledge of ASPE / Canadian GAAP (IFRS exposure considered an asset)
