In the role of Technical Research & Market Development Intern you will support the team by conducting and reviewing technical research organizing project information and assisting with consultant management to help advance the teams initiatives. Its an excellent job for students who enjoy technical research structured problemsolving data organization and gaining exposure to the energy efficiency and conservation program space

Placement Details:

This is a 4 month student placement starting in May 2026 can be located in Chatham or North York.

What you will do:

• Conduct technical research and jurisdictional scans to support program design market assessments and emerging technology evaluations.
• Develop and maintain a Consultant Expertise Database including cataloging specializations past performance and capability areas across TR&MDs consultant network.
• Organize historical project files by establishing a logical and standardized digital folder hierarchy that improves team accessibility and knowledge retention.
• Review consultant deliverables for accuracy completeness and alignment with project requirements for ongoing TR&MD initiatives.
• Support day-to-day operational tasks including documentation quality checks and coordination with internal and external partners.
• Assist with ad hoc research and analytical assignments including summarizing findings preparing briefing notes and supporting presentations for the TR&MD leadership team.

Who you are:

• You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering Mechanical Electrical Chemical or Materials preferred and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
• Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook).
• Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridges core values (Safety Integrity Respect Inclusion High Performance).

Working Conditions:

• Office based role located in Chatham or North York
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
