About the Opportunity

Executrade is proud to partner with a long-standing client in the construction industry to recruit an experienced Site Superintendent. This role is ideal for a driven professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality commercial construction projects in a safe efficient and collaborative environment.

Reporting to the HSE & Field Manager the Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects from initiation through to successful completion. You will lead and coordinate all on-site activities ensuring projects are delivered on time on budget and in alignment with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

As the Site Superintendent you will:

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities ensuring work is executed safely efficiently and in accordance with project timelines.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors suppliers and field staff to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Develop maintain and monitor project schedules proactively addressing delays or challenges.
  • Review construction drawings specifications shop drawings RFIs and change orders to identify and resolve conflicts early.
  • Ensure all work aligns with project specifications applicable codes and established quality standards.
  • Act as the primary on-site liaison with clients consultants and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Conduct site safety orientations daily inspections and weekly safety meetings to uphold OHS and company safety programs.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation including daily logs safety reports and progress updates.
  • Coordinate material procurement site logistics inspections and off-site utilities with relevant authorities.
  • Establish and maintain site office setup equipment and operational readiness.
  • Enforce Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes in collaboration with testing agencies and consultants.
  • Investigate troubleshoot and resolve site issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide leadership mentorship and technical guidance to project team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and overall project delivery.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent managing commercial and/or light industrial construction projects.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects from start to completion on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods building codes and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing diverse site teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • A collaborative mindset with a positive solutions-oriented approach.
