Job Summary

The Analyst II Systems is responsible for complex troubleshooting and problem solving of systems used by students staff and faculty across the University. The Analyst II Systems responds to complex technical issues and actively participates in the development of long-term business application and enterprise (ERP) system projects.

The incumbent values both team success and individual achievement and champions a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in programming and integrating applications; preferably in a web environment.
  • Familiarity to business/enterprise applications such as Ellucian Banner Blackboard Infosilem and Transact is an asset HTML CSS Groovy/Java PHP Python Javascript and automation scripting is required.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and advice to peers and the user community
  • Knowledge of database principals and APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of Oracle SQL PLSQL Microsoft SQL and LDAP / Active Directory.
  • Experience in project management is an asset.
  • Experience designing building install configuring and supporting applications on Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to proactively provide communication and customer service to users vendors and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
