Steps away from the main public transit station What we offer:Highly competitive compensation package which includes a base salary bonus benefits and career advancement opportunities! *Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employmentThe Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Business Analysis Community of Practice within the IT Department the Assistant Manager Business Analysis will play a key role in supporting the Business Analysis Community of Practice by leading a team of Business Analysts ensuring the quality and clarity of business requirements and driving successful project delivery. The Assistant Manager will provide training coaching and guidance to the Business Analysts collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and oversee the execution of business analysis activities throughout the software development lifecycle. The Assistant Manager will also be a lead on critical initiatives/projects responsible for requirements deliverables. How you will contribute: Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts fostering their growth and the analysis and documentation of business requirements functional specifications and user stories for initiatives/ with Product Owners Project Managers Developers QA Analysts and other stakeholders to ensure successful project and review the creation of comprehensive business analysis artifacts ensuring alignment with organizational continuous improvement and ongoing strategy refinement of the IT Business Analysis Community of Practice across people processes guidelines tools and supporting technologiesConducts interviews for new hires as required as well as support the onboarding of new team members and manage workload establish and improve analysis KPIs as well as performance and work standardsConducts Performance Reviews Proficient in Agile Delivery Frameworks and Business Analysis Playbooks providing continuous coaching and mentoring to the team on estimation development and maintenance of requirement work items traceability matrices and other project other duties as assigned by the Senior experience you need: Skills and Attributes:Strong foundation in Business Analysis discipline supporting complex environments and collaboration between business and technology leadership through team support coaching and day-to-day of influencing stakeholders and contributing to decision-making verbal and written communication skills; able to work through ambiguity and strategic thinking with a balanced focus on team dynamics and business on-the-spot analytical skills with a track record of resolving challenges working with both modern and legacy and dependable with a strong sense of to manage time effectively prioritize tasks and meet working within matrix teams and contributing to shared resource planning aligned with team objectives and business positive relationships and contributes to team with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Word Excel).Experience in the mortgage and/or financial services industry is Requirements:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Business Arts & Science or related field.2 years of experience as a Lead Business Analyst for software development projects complemented by 1 years of management or equivalent leadership experience.7 years of experience in the BA DisciplineCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent PMP CSM CSPO CDMP and ITIL are technical skills including experience with programming languages web technologies and database versed in Agile methodologies Scrum framework and software development expertise with modeling tools like MS expertise with analytical tools like MS SQL and MS Power experience in Business Process Modelling (BPM).4 years experience working with First National systems and practices an asset (internal candidates only).Relationships:External Customers: List the key/critical external customers there will be regular contact with and the level of those key contacts (i.e. peer level more senior etc.) and the frequency of the Customers: List the key/critical internal customers there will be regular contact with and the level of those key contacts (i.e. peer level more senior etc.) type of contact (i.e. will present information to senior management) and the frequency of the Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:Office environmentPeriods of high volume with tight timelinesLong periods of stationary position/sittingProlonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)Long periods of time in viewing a computer screenMulti-tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer join First NationalCompetitive Compensation Comprehensive benefits program (i.e. Health Spending Account Maternity and Parental Leave Top Up)Hybrid working environment (2-3 days in office)Extensive training programs to set our employees up for success Modern office environment conducive to collaborationSupportive teamwork culture Opportunities to give back to the communities and work through events focused on a variety of charities Ongoing social events throughout the year The team youll join: Founded in 1988 First National is one of Canadas largest non-bank lenders.
