Purpose
IOS Security is looking for a motivated and aspiring Junior Systems Engineer. As a Junior Systems Engineer you will assist in ensuring that the Physical Security solutions (PSIM Access Control CCTV Intercoms and associated infrastructure) are configured and maintained to meet or exceed requirements. You will work closely with senior team members IT 3rd party vendors and end users to learn and support the systems.
Key Missions
- Assist in the installation configuration and initial testing of physical security applications and hardware.
- Support basic system upgrades patches and troubleshooting under guidance.
- Conduct routine inspections updates and backups following established procedures.
- Follow all security policies and procedures meticulously ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Keep detailed accurate records of system changes and support activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve day-to-day tasks and propose solutions to senior staff.
- Work on tickets (resolve routine issues escalate complex ones and create new tickets for vendors partners or internal teams).
- Document system changes troubleshooting methods and best practices to support the teams shared knowledge base.
Profile & Other Information
- 2 years of experience in IT or Physical Security systems (PSIM Access Control CCTV or similar).
- Some exposure to Physical Security systems (PSIM Access Control CCTV or similar) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of networks virtualization and scripting or automation methods.
- Some exposure to scripting automation and basic networking.
- Great organisation skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Experience working in a Corporate environment with a Matrix organization structure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
