Job Responsibilities
Product & Consumer Research Ownership
Lead consumer research across all stages of the product life cycle translating insights into clear value propositions that influence product portfolio planning product definition and overall product competitiveness.
Consumer Insights & Innovation
Conduct in-depth consumer research based on functional features and key selling points of products. Identify innovation opportunities and experience improvement areas aligned with target user needs.
User Experience & Usage Scenarios
Analyze typical user profiles to identify core usage purposes usage scenarios and key device requirements. Translate findings into actionable recommendations for product experience improvements and feature development both for single products and across product lines.
Research Design & Execution
Design and execute high-quality research programs by leveraging internal and external resources including qualitative research quantitative research big data competitive intelligence and market data. Collaborate closely with product teams to ensure rigor and quality at every research milestone.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work effectively across departments and multiple teams synthesizing complex information into clear insights. Apply strong systematic thinking to support product management from strategic planning down to execution details.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in consumer insights preferably within the mobile phone industry or a consumer insight/research firm.
Research Expertise
Strong proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods including surveys focus groups interviews and data analysis. Hands-on experience in mobile phone or consumer electronics research is a strong advantage.
Product & Market Understanding
Solid understanding of products and markets with prior exposure to product planning or product management considered a plus.
Analytical & Communication Skills
Excellent logical thinking data analysis insight synthesis and communication skills. Able to combine empathy with data-driven insights to uncover deep consumer needs and behaviors.
Leadership in Insight Programs
Proven experience leading end-to-end consumer insight initiatives generating new knowledge and establishing best-in-class research practices.
Business Impact Orientation
Strong ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and recommendations that drive business growth and improve customer experience.
Mindset & Curiosity
Curious proactive and passionate about new trends and technologies. Comfortable forming and expressing original ideas. Interest in digital electronics or consumer tech is highly preferred.
Language Skills
Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
