About the role

The Facility Support Officer will have a primary place of work within the Community Hubs facilities network however will work across multiple Community Hub locations dependent on customer demand and business needs.

Operating 7-days a week our Community Hubs are the community cultural and civic heart of the City of Parramatta delivering exceptional customer experiences to those who live work study visit and play in our City.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Provide high quality customer service conveying information answering queries and assisting customers regarding the use of Councils community facilities.
  • Facilitate the setup and pack down of events functions and programs with precision and in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Arrange furniture and equipment according to a plan and adapting quickly if plans change maintaining equipment and keeping storage areas clean and tidy.
  • Report to Supervisor regarding bookings issues and contribute to the improvement of service delivery.
  • Check daily booking registers and follow task lists to delivery exceptional service.
  • Prepare coffee stations water stations cutlery and/or any other equipment as needed prior to meetings.

About You

The successful candidate should have previous demonstrated experience in facilities/venue care and preparation and strong customer service experience.

You will also bring:

  • Minimum of High School Certificate or equivalent
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid CPR
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Maintain equipment and consumables
  • Communicate appropriately with clients and colleagues
