Automation Tester
Job Summary
The Automation Tester will play a key role in ensuring the quality reliability and accessibility of digital solutions. Working within multidisciplinary project teams the role involves contributing to test strategy designing and executing test cases supporting automation practices and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities. The tester will work across agile and traditional delivery methodologies to ensure solutions meet business technical and accessibility standards.
The Automation Tester is responsible for creating and maintaining test strategies test plans and test cases using Azure DevOps while writing reviewing prioritising and executing tests for webbased applications. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary project teams to analyse specifications user stories and requirements ensuring effective test coverage. Responsibilities include identifying logging and tracking defects using departmental tools contributing to and supporting automation testing practices and providing input into overall testing strategy. The tester will also conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) lead and engage business stakeholders throughout the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and actively contribute to projects delivered using both agile and traditional methodologies.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in software testing including test planning test execution and defect management
- Handson experience testing webbased applications
- Experience using Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies principles and best practices
- Experience or exposure to automation testing tools and frameworks
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and experience testing for accessibility compliance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret requirements and identify test scenarios
- Experience supporting or leading UAT activities with business stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in agile and traditional delivery environments
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative teamfocused mindset
- Successful applicants will need to be eligible and willing to apply for an Australian Government Security Clearance
