Are you a hospitality leader who lives for the buzz of a packed bistro The Forest Lake Tavern is on the hunt for a dedicated Restaurant Manager to own our dining operations and lead a high-performing front-of-house team.

The Lake is a total powerhouse. Our bistro is famous for its consistent quality and local hospitality and we need a manager who can maintain those high standards while navigating the pressure of a 600 cover service. This isnt a role for someone who wants to sit in the office its for a floor-focused professional who loves the rush of a busy service and knows how to lead a team through it.

A day in the life of an Restaurant Manager:

• Own the floor and lead the charge for a busy cover service
• Get to know the local families so well they look for you as soon as they walk in
• Be the Air Traffic Controller managing the door the floor flow and the guest experience
• Work side-by-side with the Head Chef to make sure the food and service are always in sync
• Lead and mentor a crew of hospo legends to deliver gold-class service standards
• Handle the mid-shift reset and make sure the venue is always prepped for the next rush

About you:

• Youve mastered high-volume bistro or restaurant environments and youre ready to own your own floor
• You thrive on the hustle and stay calm when the waitlist is full and the kitchen is humming
• Youre a natural leader who leads by example rather than from an office chair
• Youve got the communication skills to bridge the gap between the kitchen and the dining room
• Youre ready to bring the energy across split shifts weekends and public holidays
• Youve got a current RSA/RSG RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock kegs and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
