Job Summary

We act for the roleRed Cross Emergency Servicesaims to assist individualsand communities before during and after an emergency or event to cope with and manage the psychosocial impacts of Resilience Officer is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of targeted initiatives aimed at enhancing the resilience of individuals households and communities. The role involves assisting in the implementation of evidence-based resources training and community activities to build capacity to anticipate respond to and recover from disasters and crises. The Resilience Officer will also support efforts to increase sector knowledge and understanding of disaster impacts preparedness and the psychosocial needs of affected will bringSound knowledge and understanding of disaster resilience and community development principlesExperience in supporting the development and delivery of training workshops and resourcesExperience in advocacy and influencing sector practicesAdvocacy and communication skills with the ability to support stakeholder engagementAnalytical and evaluation skills with the ability to assist in using data to inform practiceRelevant four-year degree in emergency management community development social sciences with one year relevant experience or three year degree with two years of relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experienceBenefits that act for you while you act for humanityFinancial wellbeing:In addition to your salary you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
