About the role
We are currently seeking an motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our SKG Radiology Busselton team on a permanent full time basis as a Medical Imaging Assistant. Our Busselton branch opened in May 2024 with a wide range of services including General X-Ray CT OPG Bone Densitometry Ultrasound and MRI.
As a Medical Imaging Assistant you will be responsible for patient care prior to during and after the scan. The majority of your work will be clinical in nature including some administrative duties. The position is Full Time - 75 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday.
You will be expected to help out across modalities within the branch including MRI and CT as well as running your own list of Bone Densitometry patients. Some of your many and varied duties will include:
- Confirming patient appointments & any pre-appointment instructions via telephone
- Retrieving outside imaging studies
- Preparing patients for procedures and assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures
- Assisting the technical staff member during clinical procedures including cannulating patients (training provided)
- Stock control
- Cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Administrative duties as required

The successful candidate will have:
- A caring and compassionate nature

- A willingness to train in IV Cannulation & Bone Densitometry
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Outstanding communication and time management skills
- Computer literacy
- The ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment
Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
