Job Summary
Our client in Wellington is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join their growing team.
Requirements:
Minimum 35 years experience working on trucks. Volvo truck experience advantageous
Strong knowledge of truck diagnostics repairs and maintenance.
Ability to identify faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Must be reliable responsible and able to work under pressure.
Valid drivers license .
Willingness to work overtime or attend to breakdowns when required.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Conducting vehicle inspections servicing and repairs.
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on trucks.
Performing preventative maintenance on Volvo trucks.
Completing job cards and maintenance reports.
Ensuring all work is done according to safety and company standards.
