About the role

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Planner to join our South Island Planning team in Queenstown. With a strong and stimulating work pipeline ahead we need an experienced planner to join us on that journey.

TPG benefits from a varied client portfolio and projects meaning we can shape your role to bring out the best in you. We support you to deliver excellent outcomes for our clients. The responsibilities keeping you engaged and motivated day to day will include:

• Working alongside our planning and property consultants in the Queenstown team
• Working for private and Council clients throughout Otago and Southland
• Resource Consent Notice of Requirement and Designation applications under the Resource Management Act (RMA) and Fast Track legislation
• Preparing planning advice and due diligence
• Resource consent processing for local authorities
• District plan review and policy services

About you

Were looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

• At least two years experience in a planning role (consultancy or local government would be desirable)
• Strong knowledge of the RMAA relevant qualification in planning or related field
• Hold or be eligible for NZPI membership
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with members of our established team
• The ability to form strong and effective relationships with colleagues and clients
