Position Details
Position Title: Product Development Engineer (Staff Level)
Department: Engineering Department / Mechanical Component Development (ePowertrain)
Planned Start Date: May 1st 2026
Role Summary
You will be responsible for verifying that mechanical product designs meet required specifications.
This includes generating technical evidence through desk analysis simulation and physical testing.
Primary products include the Electronic Torque Manager (ETM) and other torque-related ePowertrain components.
Main customers are Japanese automotive OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering design and resolution of technical issues
- Project planning and management
- Technical skill and capability development
- Creation of test procedures and validation plans
- Data acquisition processing and analysis
- Handling technical inquiries and functional investigations
- Performance evaluation and reporting
- Cross-functional communication with internal teams and global sites
- Documentation and management of customer requirements
Eligibility Requirements
Required:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Electronics or Mechatronics)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (powertrain experience preferred)
- Experience with 3D CAD tools (CATIA CREO NX etc.)
- Valid Japanese drivers license
- Language: Japanese: Fluently
- English proficiency at a basic communicative level
