Job Summary
The President is responsible for overseeing the organizations day-to-day operations and executing strategic initiatives set by the CEO and Board. This role ensures alignment between business units drives operational excellence and delivers sustainable financial performance across banking insurance and investment functions.
The President plays a critical role in translating strategy into execution while maintaining strong governance risk management and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations across all business divisions (banking insurance investment and financial services)
Ensure efficient execution of business strategies and organizational goals
Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
Align departmental objectives with overall corporate strategy
2. Strategy Execution
Partner with the CEO to implement long-term strategic plans
Translate strategic vision into actionable business plans
Monitor progress against strategic initiatives and adjust as needed
Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve business targets
3. Financial Management
Oversee financial performance budgeting and forecasting
Ensure achievement of revenue profitability and cost-efficiency targets
Monitor key financial metrics such as ROA ROE and cost-to-income ratio
Support capital allocation and investment decisions
4. Risk & Compliance Oversight
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
Oversee enterprise risk management frameworks
Collaborate with compliance and audit teams to maintain strong controls
Address operational financial and reputational risks
5. Business Development & Growth
Identify and drive new business opportunities and revenue streams
Strengthen client relationships and expand market presence
Support product innovation in banking insurance and investment services
Foster partnerships and strategic alliances
6. Leadership & Talent Management
Lead and mentor senior management and business unit heads
Build a high-performance accountable organizational culture
Oversee talent development succession planning and workforce strategy
Promote collaboration and innovation across teams
7. Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a key liaison between CEO Board and operational teams
Engage with regulators investors and key external stakeholders
Represent the organization in industry events and forums
Key Requirements
Education
Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) Finance Economics or related field
Professional certifications (e.g. CFA CPA FRM) are preferred
Experience
1218 years of experience in banking financial services insurance or investment sectors
Proven leadership experience in senior management roles (e.g. EVP SVP COO or equivalent)
Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations and driving growth
