Job Summary
Provides professional counseling services to assigned patients and family members.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited school or educational program required. Preferred Bachelors degree in Alcohol and Drug Studies or related field; or Masters degree in counseling-related field.
Counselors must meet training experience and continuing education requirements necessary for the patient population for which services are provided. Counselors providing adolescent services and family counselors must meet training requirements or training will be provided.
Additional Qualifications:
Treatment philosophy consistent with Fountain Centers philosophy preferred. Knowledge of chemical dependency and 12 Step recovery philosophies. 1 to 3 years experience providing counseling services to patients preferred.
Licensure or Certifications:
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with current licensure with Minnesota Board of Social Work with additional alcohol and drug related state requirements.
Current drivers license.
Must be able to complete and pass BLS and First aid training within 90 days of hire. Positions that are not on campus may not require Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid Training competencies as determined by the work area.
