Job Description: Middle School Science Teacher
School:Clinton Middle School
Reports To:Gene Ray Principal
Classification: Full-Time Exempt
Core Objective
To deliver high-quality science instruction that fosters critical thinking scientific literacy and inquiry-based learning for students in grades 68.
Primary Responsibilities
Instruction: Design and implement standards-based lessons (NGSS) covering Life Physical and Earth Sciences.
Lab Leadership: Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiences ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
Assessment: Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
Classroom Management: Establish a structured inclusive learning environment conducive to adolescent development.
Collaboration: Participate in grade-level and departmental meetings to align curriculum and analyze student data.
Engagement: Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders (parents administration and colleagues) regarding student achievement.
Qualifications
