Project Leadership & Oversight
Lead utility equipment scope execution and act as primary technical representative.
Ensure EPCM and contractors adhere to approved scope schedule cost and quality.
Challenge EPCM recommendations to protect Owner interests.
Commercial & Contracting Support
Review award recommendations change orders field changes and commercial/schedule impacts.
Coordinate closely with vendors throughout design fabrication FAT delivery and site support.
Technical Coordination
Work with process piping E&I automation C&Q and facilities to ensure proper system integration.
Participate in constructability maintainability and schedule reviews.
Track equipment schedules and proactively mitigate vendor risks.
Field & Installation Support
Maintain on site presence as needed.
Ensure utility equipment is installed per design specs and GMP standards.
Partner with construction QA/QC and safety to resolve field issues and NCRs.
Support walkdowns punch lists installation readiness and system turnover.
Commissioning & Qualification
Support C&Q/validation activities for utility systems.
Review and approve turnover documentation.
Work with Operations and Quality on system handover and readiness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors in Mechanical Chemical or related Engineering.
10 years in pharma/biotech engineering or project management.
Strong knowledge of utility systems (WFI clean steam HVAC process utilities).
Experience with GMP validation vendor management and mechanical equipment projects.
Proficiency with project management tools; strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to operate in fast paced dynamic environments.
Core Competencies
Strong ownership detail orientation and problem solving.
Effective constructive challenge to EPCM/contractors.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
High follow through and discipline in multi discipline environments.
Qualifications
Experience in commissioning and qualification activities.
