Job Summary
Job role: Gen AI Tech PM
Duration: 6-12 month contract to hire
Location: Hybrid in Raleigh NC
Client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead delivery across complex multi year initiatives including Generative AI (GenAI) enabled capabilities within our Legal Business Solutions (LBS) portfolio. This role will primarily support programs that integrate GenAI technologies into existing products and platforms (including InterAction) while also contributing to broader platform modernization and cloud initiatives.
You will bring strong experience working in agile environments as a servant leader fostering a collaborative team culture while maintaining a sharp focus on delivery risk management and business outcomes. The role requires comfort operating in ambiguity particularly when delivering emerging technologies such as GenAI in a regulated enterprise environment
Responsibilities:
Program & Project Delivery
Lead delivery of large-scale multi-year technical programs including initiatives that incorporate Generative AI and advanced analytics capabilities
Perform rigorous work breakdown analysis to identify and clearly articulate project deliverables dependencies and critical paths
Build and maintain pragmatic delivery plans and validate progress through structured governance stage gates and Agile ceremonies
Ensure plans encompass technical delivery data readiness security compliance and operational go to market activities
GenAI-Specific Delivery Oversight
Manage delivery of projects involving LLMs GenAI services AI-enabled workflows or intelligent automation coordinating across engineering product data legal and security teams
Partner with technical leads to manage dependencies related to:
o Data quality and data pipelines
o Model integration (build vs buy decisions)
o Responsible AI privacy and ethical use controls
o Model evaluation performance and monitoring readiness
Proactively identify risks specific to GenAI initiatives (e.g. data sensitivity explainability compliance vendor risk) and drive mitigation plans
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders providing insight guidance direction empathy and encouragement
Actively coordinate cross functional teams delivering against plans including globally distributed engineering teams
Facilitate decision making across technical and business stakeholders in fast moving and ambiguous environments
Governance Risk & Financial Management
Define and implement appropriate governance for projects and programs including executive reporting
Track budgets and ensure project finances are effectively managed and aligned to outcomes
Proactively manage issues challenges and threats to delivery driving resolution and accountability
Manage project change with clarity and discipline
Provide clear concise status reporting tailored to technical and executive audiences
Skills & Experience Required:
Core Experience
Significant experience delivering projects using Agile software delivery methodologies
Proven track record of successful project or program delivery in enterprise environments
Experience working on large-scale ($M 12 month) software development initiatives
Experience leading projects involving cloud platforms SaaS implementations or platform modernization
Strong analytical skills with the ability to break complex initiatives into manageable plans
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
GenAI / Advanced Technology Experience (Required or Strongly Preferred)
Experience delivering projects that involve Generative AI machine learning AI-enabled products or advanced data platforms
Comfortable working with technical teams on concepts such as:
o APIs and service integration
o Data pipelines and data governance
o Model lifecycle considerations (training evaluation deployment monitoring)
Experience delivering emerging technologies in regulated or enterprise environments is strongly preferred
Additional Preferred Experience:
Experience with software or data migrations and associated change management
Experience working with global distributed cross-functional teams
Exposure to business process change management or organizational transformation initiatives
Familiarity with the constraints and complexities of large matrixed organizations
