Job Summary

Duties

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients vital signs and report any changes in their condition.
  • Assist with acute pain management and provide comfort measures.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in laboratory procedures.
  • Provide care to patients in inpatient settings ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and wellness strategies.
  • Perform phlebotomy as needed for laboratory tests.
  • Support occupational health initiatives by promoting workplace health standards.

Skills

  • Experience in nursing home environments or acute care settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in home care practices and hospice care methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes and laboratory protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients families and healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on empathy and support.
