Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support shaped charge production in a semi-automated manufacturing environment. This role involves operating production systems installing mechanical tooling and safely handling explosive materials while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to run production bays
- Install and set up mechanical tooling using hand tools (Allen wrenches torque wrenches etc.)
- Work in a fast-paced semi-automated manufacturing environment
- Operate equipment such as hydraulic presses robots and conveyors (operation only)
- Handle and package shaped charges (explosive materials) safely
- Follow job packets work orders routings and bills of material (BOMs)
- Perform basic troubleshooting of product process or equipment issues
- Maintain production tools and ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Adhere strictly to safety and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with HMIs or touchscreen-based systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic knowledge of electronics hydraulics or mechanical assemblies
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Exposure to automated machinery robotics or conveyors
- Familiarity with technical documentation (work orders wire lists BOMs)
Work Environment
- Semi-automated manufacturing facility
- Exposure to hazardous materials (powdered explosives)
- Full PPE and safety training provided
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform hands-on fast-paced work
- Comfortable working around hazardous materials
- Ability to stand move and perform repetitive tasks during shift
Safety & Compliance
- Must be eligible for BATFE Level 4 Clearance (Employee Possessor of Explosives)
- Clearance will be processed post-offer through ATF (Form 5400.28)
