We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers with strong expertise in elastomer-based manufacturing processes. This role focuses on developing optimizing and sustaining manufacturing operations to ensure high product quality efficiency and compliance with industry standards. The position works closely with cross-functional teams including engineering quality safety and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering & Optimization
Develop implement and optimize elastomer processes such as molding extrusion mixing and curing (compression molding injection molding calendaring).
Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma and root-cause analysis.
Create and maintain process documentation including SOPs work instructions control plans and PFMEAs.
Manufacturing Support
Provide daily technical support to production teams and troubleshoot process/equipment issues.
Define and validate process parameters to ensure stability repeatability and compliance.
Support tooling design trials and qualification for elastomer components.
Equipment & Technology
Specify validate and maintain manufacturing equipment such as mixers extruders molding presses and curing ovens.
Lead or support capital equipment projects (justification procurement installation validation).
Identify and implement new technologies to improve production efficiency and product consistency.
Safety & Environmental
Identify and mitigate risks related to high-temperature processes chemical handling and press operations.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to elastomer materials and curing agents.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within an elastomer manufacturing environment (mandatory).
Knowledge of elastomer processes such as molding extrusion and curing.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Hands-on experience with process optimization and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace industry experience.
Familiarity with ITAR regulations.
Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen (required due to ITAR regulations).
