Summary:
Create and validate CNC programs for milling turning and other machine operations; verify programs written by other shop personnel.
Analyze engineering drawings CAD files and part renderings to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
Collaborate with engineering machinists and management to improve productivity setup/run time quality and safety.
Assist operators with programming and troubleshooting as needed.
Manage program file revisions and documentation for future builds.
Develop standardized setup and tooling lists for operators.
Identify tooling requirements based on material type engineering definition and machine capabilities.
Requirements:
8 years of experience in tool and die fabrication including 5 years leading CNC mill/lathe operations.
Proficiency in CNC setup programming (G-code M-code) and CAM software (e.g. Mastercam).
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation; ability to work with 3D models.
Experience using inspection tools for in-process quality control.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts across teams.
Commitment to safety and participation in ESH programs with proactive hazard identification.
Experience machining a wide range of materials including steels alloys aluminum titanium super alloys plastics composites and additive manufactured parts.
Ability to train and mentor junior machinists on setup inspection and best practices.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
