Employment Law Attorney
About the Role:
This is a dynamic opportunity for an Employment Associate who enjoys a balance of litigation and advisory work. You will represent employers and executives on a variety of employment matters working closely with clients to deliver practical business-oriented legal solutions.
In this role you will:
- Handle a mix of litigation and employment counseling matters
- Manage cases across all stages from initial assessment through trial preparation
- Work directly with clients offering strategic guidance on complex employment issues
- Collaborate with a respected and experienced legal team on sophisticated matters
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of litigation including interviewing witnesses drafting motions and trial preparation
- Oversee all phases of discovery including depositions
- Handle charges of discrimination before agencies such as the EEOC and WSHRC including drafting position statements and responding to inquiries
- Advise clients on employment law compliance including workplace policies handbooks employee relations leaves and accommodations performance management hiring and terminations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a broad range of litigation
- Experience handling employment-related agency matters (EEOC WSHRC)
- Second-chair trial experience and class action defense experience are preferred but not required
- Strong analytical problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association or eligibility for prompt admission
Compensation & Location:
- Base salary range: $142000 $185000 depending on experience
