About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a hybrid capacity (New Jersey / Washington DC).

In this role you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will support month-end and quarter-end close processes collaborate across departments and contribute to continuous improvements in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform revenue close procedures including journal entries for revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis
• Prepare month-end expense accruals and maintain detailed schedules to ensure accurate period recognition
• Collaborate with finance team members to prepare monthly financial packages and management reports
• Complete general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Execute assigned month-end and quarter-end close activities including journal entries and reporting tasks
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support external audit requirements and documentation requests
• Identify process improvement opportunities and update internal documentation and policies
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

What You Bring:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a complex accounting environment
• Advanced Excel skills including strong experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial information
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
