Senior Accountant
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a hybrid capacity (New Jersey / Washington DC).
In this role you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will support month-end and quarter-end close processes collaborate across departments and contribute to continuous improvements in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform revenue close procedures including journal entries for revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis
- Prepare month-end expense accruals and maintain detailed schedules to ensure accurate period recognition
- Collaborate with finance team members to prepare monthly financial packages and management reports
- Complete general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Execute assigned month-end and quarter-end close activities including journal entries and reporting tasks
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support external audit requirements and documentation requests
- Identify process improvement opportunities and update internal documentation and policies
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
What You Bring:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a complex accounting environment
- Advanced Excel skills including strong experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial information
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
