About the Role:

The firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience to join its San Diego office.

In this role you will work closely with experienced litigators on complex matters gaining hands-on exposure to all phases of litigation. You will play a key role in case strategy discovery and motion practice while managing multiple matters in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft review and argue appellate briefs in New York State and Federal courts
• Handle motion practice across all phases of litigation including complex dispositive and procedural motions
• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide strategic legal analysis on intricate legal issues
• Collaborate with trial teams to ensure preservation of appellate issues and strengthen litigation strategy
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Qualifications:

• 2 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Strong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
• Excellent research analytical and brief writing skills
• Experience managing all aspects of discovery including drafting revising and responding to discovery requests and disputes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Active California Bar admission (required)

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected salary range for this position is $130000 $150000 depending on experience education and skill set. Candidates with salary expectations outside this range are still encouraged to apply.

Associates are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
