Finastra GPP Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Finastra GPP (Global PAYplus) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with recent hands-on configuration experience to support critical payment platform initiatives. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in payment processing system configuration and integration within Finastra GPP.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing configuring and optimizing payment workflows while ensuring system stability compliance and performance across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end configuration and implementation of Finastra GPP modules
• Perform hands-on system configuration including payment routing message flows and processing rules
• Support real-time and batch payment processing (SWIFT SEPA ACH RTGS etc.)
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate payment requirements into GPP configurations
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues defects and performance bottlenecksWork closely with integration teams on interfaces with upstream/downstream systems
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and payment standards
• Participate in system upgrades enhancements and migrations
• Provide SME-level guidance during UAT SIT and production support phases

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience with Finastra GPP configuration
• Recent Experience Required: Active GPP project experience within the last 2 3 years
• Deep understanding of payment processing systems and workflows
• Experience with payment message formats (ISO 20022 SWIFT MT/MX)
• Strong knowledge of banking/payment domains (ACH SEPA RTGS Wire Instant Payments)
• Experience in system integration APIs and middleware
• Ability to analyze complex requirements and deliver scalable configuration solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in banking or financial services environments
• Exposure to payment transformation or migration programs
• Familiarity with cloud environments and modern payment architectures
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
