Job Summary

Role: Quality Engineer services
Location: Sherrill NY (Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time (Permanent)

Job Description

1. Implements quality system procedures and recommends improvements interacts with team members to achieve daily and long-term goals; ensures procedures are followed
2. Develops quality initiatives to attain and maintain customer satisfaction and focus.
3. Supports the suppliers on quality activities such as Control Plan FMEA (failure mode & effects analysis) Process Capability Study MSA (measurement system analysis) and Checklist etc.
4. Provides technical expertise to purchasing function
5. Serves as liaison between the supplier and Briggs and Stratton in quality activities which may include presenting quality trend data for the purpose of informing and problem solving working with the supplier corrective action reports and verifying its effectiveness
6. Participates in supplier development activities and interactions with suppliers implementing corrective actions & improving control plans
7. Prepares and provides data analysis of finished product and consumer complaint issues and recommends implementation of corrective and preventative actions for supplier improvement and elimination of defects; follows-up process improvements) as needed
8. Performs supplier PPAP (production part approval process) and obtains project team approval
9. Completes Suppliers Process Audit and Key Product Audit according to the plan and follows up with the improvement plan.
10. Performs other duties as assigned
