Senior Industrial Fire Sprinkler Estimator

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Bidding

Review construction drawings specifications and bid documents

Perform detailed takeoffs for fire sprinkler systems

Prepare accurate labor and material estimates

Develop pricing strategies to remain competitive while protecting margins

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for pricing

Prepare and submit formal bid proposals

Project Evaluation

Identify scope gaps exclusions and risks

Analyze project schedules and manpower requirements

Participate in pre-bid meetings and job walks when required

Collaborate with internal project managers and design teams

Client & GC Coordination

Maintain relationships with general contractors and developers

Respond to RFIs during the bidding process

Participate in post-bid negotiations when required

Department Support

Assist junior estimators with technical guidance

Work closely with sprinkler designers and CAD teams

Support transition from estimating to project management after job award

Qualifications

5 10 years experience estimating fire sprinkler systems

Strong knowledge of NFPA 13 and fire protection systems

Experience with industrial and large-scale commercial projects

Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools

Familiarity with HydraCAD AutoSPRINK or similar design software

Strong understanding of sprinkler materials and installation methods

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
