Job Summary
Delivery Driver I Arlington TX (100% Onsite)
Location: Arlington TX
Employment Type: Contract / Temporary (Min. 1 Month with potential for extension or conversion)
Radius: Up to 15 miles from central location
We are seeking reliable Delivery Drivers to join a short-term assignment in Arlington TX. Drivers will be responsible for picking up small barbecue propane cylinders from a central clients location and delivering them to commercial businesses including Home Depot and other retail partners.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport propane cylinders to assigned commercial locations within a 15-mile radius.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines including the 30-tank maximum limit per trip.
- Secure cargo properly in approved pickup trucks; SUVs are not permitted.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
Requirements
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle (pickup truck preferred; bed sizes 6.5 ft or 8 ft).
- No SUVs allowed due to safety and regulatory reasons.
- Ability to safely lift and transport 20 lb propane cylinders (up to 25 cylinders per trip for 6.5 ft beds).
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Flexible to work onsite full-time hours as scheduled.
- Commitment to the minimum 1-month assignment with potential extension.
Propane Cylinder Details
- Size: 20 lb cylinder (most common for grills small RVs patio heaters turkey fryers etc.)
- Weight: 15 lbs net propane per cylinder (4.6 gallons)
- Dimensions: 1.5 height x 1 diameter
- Safety Limit: 30 tanks per trip no bed extensions allowed
