Job Summary:
The P&C Technician 1 is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing protection and control systems used to monitor protection systems in power substations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and computer skills to effectively install repair and maintain various protection and control systems.
The P&C Technician 1 is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing protection and control systems used to monitor protection systems in power substations. Location:Montgomery Alabama United States
Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and troubleshoot protection and control relaying and associated devices.
- Perform calibration of various types of protection and control relays and devices.
- Assist in creating and maintaining protection and control documentation.
- Assist assigned project lead with field assignments.
- Install program and maintain protection and control relays and devices.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and practices.
- Install maintain and troubleshoot protection and control relaying and associated devices.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 year BS Engineering Degree (Electrical Preferred).
- 0-3 years experience in Engineering or similar role.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
- Experience with AC and DC systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
