Job Summary

Job Summary:

The CT Technician is responsible for performing CT procedures including abdomen pelvis head/neck chest spine musculoskeletal and CTAs on patients of all ages in a busy emergency department setting. The role involves operating Siemens equipment utilizing EPIC and Visage PACS systems and working within a team to provide quality patient care.
Location:Winston Salem North Carolina United States
Responsibilities:

- Perform CT procedures including abdomen pelvis head/neck chest spine musculoskeletal and CTAs.
- Operate Siemens CT scanners.
- Utilize EPIC and Visage PACS systems for documentation and image management.
- Work with patients of all ages and conditions from routine to acute cases.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Assist with approximately 200 exams daily.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Assist in emergency situations as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience depending on trauma experience.
- Travel experience required.
- Inpatient ER and Adult ICU experience.
- IV Starts PACS and Contrast administration skills.
- CT Procedure experience: Abdomen Pelvis Head/Neck Chest Spine Musculoskeletal CTAs.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT certification with specific CT registration.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Outpatient experience.
- Level I Trauma and NICU experience.
- Biopsy experience.
- Brain perfusion and Multiplanar Reconstruction skills.
Special Considerations:

- Travelers must bring their own dosimeter.
- RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite.
- Call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
Scheduling:
- 12-hour day shifts: Monday Tuesday Thursday (8:30 AM - 9:00 PM).
- Schedule may rotate days on a weekly basis.
- Supervisor makes the schedule based on unit needs.
