A Perioperative Operating Room Charge RN is needed for a 13-week contract assignment primarily supporting weekend coverage. The Charge RN will oversee daily OR operations coordinate patient flow support surgical staff and ensure safe efficient patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities- Provide Charge RN leadership and oversight for perioperative services.
- Coordinate daily OR activities surgical schedules and patient flow.
- Support surgeons anesthesia providers and OR teams.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols sterilization standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in mentoring and guiding OR staff.
- Deliver direct patient care as needed in the operating room.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality outcomes.
- Active RN license in the state.
- Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
- At least 1 year of current Perioperative Charge Nurse or Relief Charge experience.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field.
- Two or more years of Critical Care experience.
- CNOR certification.
