Compensation & Bonus - Principal Mammography Technologist: $97.66/hour
- Senior Mammography Technologist: $89.70/hour
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5000 (subject to eligibility and terms)
Position Overview Athena Health Care is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist (Per Diem) to join our outpatient imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality screening and diagnostic breast imaging while ensuring a patient-centered approach to care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities - Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with ACR quality standards
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper patient positioning
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to coordinate patient care
- Utilize and maintain proficiency in RIS and PACS systems
- Participate in quality assurance performance improvement and equipment maintenance
- Maintain accurate documentation and quality control records
- Support training and mentorship of students and new team members
- Provide coverage across multiple locations as needed
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (AMA-approved)
- ARRT Mammography Certification
- Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License
- Active CRT Mammography License
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Minimum 3 years of Mammography experience (Senior level)
- Ability to meet MQSA requirements including:
- At least 40 hours of documented mammography training
- 200 mammography exams performed within the past 24 months
- Minimum 15 CEUs in Mammography within the past 36 months
- 8 hours each of Digital and 3D Tomosynthesis training
Preferred:
- 5 years of Mammography experience (Principal level)
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations and varying schedules
