Capital Projects oversees the planning development and execution of capital improvement initiatives from concept through completion. This position is responsible for managing an annual capital budget of roughly $1.25 million while ensuring projects are completed safely on time within budget and in alignment with organizational objectives. The Project Engineer collaborates with operations maintenance finance and external partners to achieve successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate operational requirements asset conditions and strategic priorities to identify and prioritize capital projects.
- Perform feasibility analyses cost evaluations ROI calculations and risk assessments.
- Create project charters initial designs and capital expenditure proposals.
- Manage projects through all phases including planning design procurement construction commissioning and final closeout.
- Develop comprehensive schedules budgets and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors vendors and engineering consultants to ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards.
- Handle procurement activities for materials equipment and services in line with company procedures.
- Carry out site visits to track project progress quality and compliance with safety protocols.

- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project Primavera or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Background in manufacturing industrial environments utilities or similar sectors.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or related design applications.
