Job Summary
Job Title: RN Spinal Cord Injury
Specialty: Spinal Cord Injury
Site: Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center
Location: 10701 East Blvd Cleveland OH 44106
Shift Schedule:
- 12-hour and rotating shifts
- Includes weekends and holidays
Shifts per month: 20
License: Ohio RN or Compact
Certifications: BLS (ACLS preferred)
Experience needed: Minimum 2 years neuro / rehab / SCI experience
Special Skills:
- Neurological and functional assessments
- Long-term rehabilitation support
- Catheter and mobility care
- Prevention of pressure ulcers and complications
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care for spinal cord injury patients
- Support rehabilitation and long-term recovery plans
- Monitor patient progress and prevent secondary complications
- Educate patients and caregivers on long-term care needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate multidisciplinary care
