Job Summary
Drivers will pick up small barbecue propane cylinders from a central AmeriGas location and deliver them to commercial businesses (e.g. Home Depot). Drivers will need to use their own vehicle so ideally a truck or similar vehicle is required. The assignment is expected to last at least two months with potential for conversion. Hours and some additional details are still being finalized.
All parties will need to abide by the 30-tank max limit based on regulations no SUVs. There are several common bed size options amongst pick-up trucks. Typically we see either 8ft & 6.5ft. There are a few smaller options also out there which will further decrease the capacity limits due to size constraints. We stay away from the use of bed extensions as they are not a trusted known securement device. 6.5 beds max out at 25 tanks.
Unfortunately SUVs will need to be excluded from the program due to safety reasons. Pickup trucks with open beds are the preferred path to travel due to permitting open air venting.
